What role does leadership play in how your company conducts business?
Adventist HealthCare leaders are advocates for our organization’s mission and our R.I.S.E.S. values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship. Our values are the underlying principles that motivate our actions to be rigorous about performance in the healthcare industry toward safe, high-quality, compassionate care for all those we serve.
How do your company and its employees get involved in the community?
Adventist HealthCare is committed to supporting and partnering with community-based organizations to improve both overall community health and the healthcare system in support of our mission. Adventist HealthCare partners with clinics that serve low-income residents of Montgomery County, many of whom are limited English proficient and/or racial and ethnic minorities. These clinics include Community Clinic, Inc., Mercy Health Clinic, Mary’s Center for Maternal Child Care and Mobile Medical Care (MobileMed).
Our Community Partnership Fund supports initiatives through grants to organizations like these whose programs improve the health of the community. Our leaders also provide their expertise by serving on numerous non-profit coalitions and boards whose programs address community issues such as workforce development, housing, disaster readiness and health advocacy.
Adventist HealthCare’s Center for Health Equity & Wellness is a regionally recognized leader and resource for education and training programs to provide patient and family-centered care in a culturally sensitive way. The Center also provides health education classes, screening events, support groups and special healthcare programs to the community. The Center works to reduce and eliminate disparities in health status and healthcare access, treatment, quality and outcomes, especially for the uninsured and underserved. www.AdventistHealthCare.com/Disparities.com
